so after all the hassle of looking for cheap flights and value-for-money accomodation, i've managed to secure CX flights for $210 (everything inclusive) & Citin Pratunam for 4 nights at a good price.
this time around, it's a party of six.

it was pretty much a good flight, clear weather.

yea, we were really tak sabar to reach bangkok. i was already thinking of all the things i was going to buy.

once landed, semua muka happy, as you can tell. haha.
but happiness is, of course, short-lived when they find out that the immigration point is really a distance to walk.

there wasn't any trouble searching for our airport transfer dude, and so i thought
this would be a good beginning to the whole trip. i was wrong to assume too quickly.
there was some miserable issues at the hotel's reception, but thank god, i did print a copy of the reservation email, therefore i didn't have to pay extra. there was some miscommunication between their reception desk & reservation office. (like i care)
if this ever happens to you, just simply tell them, that's your problem. it works okay. =)

so by the time we checked in, we're all pretty much famished.
mak edah (name of the shop) was located 5 minutes away from our hotel.
decided to dine there before heading to central world.
as usual, my trip to bangkok would require lots of walking around (not that im complaining). i know people must be thinking, there's the taxi or tuktuk what, why walk? well, bangkok's filled with street night markets, and that's where you'll find the cheap deals eg, belts going for 20baht(84 cents) each. awesomeeee.

this is another reason why i do not like to take the taxi. their traffic jams are really horrendous. of course they're very skillful driver, but i just do not like to be stucked in one of these jams.
first stop was central world isetan for my regular bra shopping! hee.
triumph, wacoal, morgan & elle easily found in isetan are relatively cheaper than in our departmental store here. and since you're there, beli je!
second stop, use the overhead bridge, and we're headed for Big C (supermarket).
it's just like giant, huge with lots of thai products (duh!).
can you believe i saw pink eggs? like literally, PINK!

how awesome is this kan?!

afterwhich followed by more street shopping, and it was this particular shop that each of us girls bought a pair of sandals from. it's those banded sandals (not found in picture though). and i was the helper. haha! she was lembab lah, and we girls were so kecoh. kesian auntie.

MASSAGE!
everyone who's been or are going to thailand should know that they MUST try the massage over there. there's only two reason why you should try their massage.
1) it cost 170bht(at this shop) for 1 hour. that's equivalent to SGD$7.17, tell me where can you get a massage in Singapore for that price?!
2) your feet are tired from shopping, of course they need to be pampered!
decided to try the orange shop (cause the masseurs wore orange tops) although previously i tried the pink shop.
they're equally skillful however i felt the orange shop seems to be more forceful and i like forceful. haha. the masseurs are also very friendly, and they try to communicate with us, although yes, their command of english isn't really strong.
there's a whole row of massage parlour located opposite indra regent hotel, so yeah, if you're going, try either the foot massage or thai body massage. awesome possum.
so after an hour of massage, back to the hotel for an early rest.
day two will come, soon enough. heh.
